The editor of the Northern Ireland editon of the Sunday World has been beaten up in the centre of Belfast.
Mr McDowell was injured in the head, arms and legs, but did not need hospital treatment.
“What does it say about the freedom of expression and the freedom of the press?” he said.
The thing is Mr McDowell is editor of what could only be descibed as a rag, probably the worst example of gutter press in Ireland.
This is the same same newspaper that recently published an image of a suicide victim who had hanged himself from a bridge.
McDowell is the type of person that brings shame on decent journalism so when a guy like him gets a few slaps around the head it brings a smile to my face. Only issue is, he got off too lightly.
