Indo to introduce paid-for content?


Gavin O’Reilly, the chief executive of Independent News & Media (INM), told the Telegraph newspaper he is looking at how to get consumers paying for offerings on the web.

‘Our experience has been that the web is a financially deflationary area. I think we will see more and more content moving to subscription,’ said O’Reilly. ‘We are looking at some charge structure. If we are giving all our content away, it’s obviously necessary.

News International in the UK  is also said to be discussing how to roll out paid-for content on The Times’ website, Times Online.
